A SIMPLE MORNING ROUTINE TO START YOUR DAY WITH GOD

You know that feeling of grabbing your phone before your eyes are even fully open, and suddenly your heart rate is up before you have said a single word to God. It happens so fast that most of us do not even notice we are doing it. We are letting the world speak first.

A Morning Rhythm Worth Trying

There is another way to begin, and it does not require an hour you do not have.

Wake a few minutes earlier and choose stillness before scrolling.
Sit on the edge of the bed and whisper something as small as, “God, I am yours today.”
Read a few verses slowly, letting them settle instead of rushing to the next task.

Ask Him one honest question, like what He wants you to carry into the day, or what He wants you to lay down.
Breathe slowly for a moment and simply say thank you for being alive to see this day at all.

What Scripture Says

Psalm 143:8 says, “Let the morning bring me word of your unfailing love, for I have put my trust in you. Show me the way I should go, for to you I entrust my life.”

There is something deeply tender about asking God to speak to you before anyone else does. It tells your soul that you are not walking into the day alone, and that even before you know what today will hold, you have already been held.

Conclusion

You do not need a perfect quiet time. You need a few honest minutes where you let God go first. That alone can soften an entire day.
